Dallas is back in form and that loss to the Cardinals might have served the Cowboys well by giving Dak Prescott and company a needed reality check. Nothing is a given in the NFL.
Outside of their debacle against the Cardinals, the Cowboys’ defense has been superb this season. They are No. 1 in the league with just 10.3 points allowed per game and second with 259.8 total yards surrendered per contest. Dallas is both No. 2 overall in defensive interception and defensive sack rates.

Regular season record: 4-0
The 49ers are scary. They are on a four-game win streak to start the season after taking down Arizona at home last Sunday, 35-16. The team the Cowboys couldn’t beat, the Niners easily decimated. That was a strong message to send to Dallas by the 49ers, who got another exceptional performance from Brock Purdy.
San Francisco’s starting quarterback was near-flawless against the Cardinals, passing for 283 yards and a touchdown on 20/21 completions. What makes his job easier is the presence of running back Christian McCaffrey, who had 106 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries in Week 4. Purdy’s control and steadiness can counter Dallas’ defense. On the season, the Niners are averaging only 0.3 giveaways per game, with Purdy yet to throw an interception through four weeks.
