The Cowboys just sent a strong message to the rest of the league with a massive 43-20 demolition job of the Los Angeles Rams at home in Week 8. Dallas was coming off a bye in Week 7 when they faced Los Angeles, and it was clear that the Cowboys did not have any rust in them. CeeDee Lamb was the biggest nightmare for the Rams in that game, and he could be again, this time for the Eagles.
Lamb exploded for 158 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 12 catches and 14 receptions versus the Rams, while Dak Prescott threw for 304 passing yards and four touchdowns with only an interception on 25/31 completions. On the season, the Cowboys are averaging 28.1 points and 2.9 touchdowns per game, second and eighth in the league, respectively. Dallas is also 5-2 against the spread in its last seven games.
Betting on the Philadelphia Eagles (-3.0)
Regular season record: 7-1
The Cowboys have hurts, while the Eagles have AJ Brown, who is playing on another level. Brown had 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns on eight catches and eight targets in Week 8’s win by the Eagles over the Washington Commanders, 38-31, on the road. Brown has recorded at least 127 receiving yards in each of his last six games with five touchdowns over that span.
What’s making it harder to stop Brown downfield is the presence of DeVonta Smith, who is an awesome field-stretcher himself. Brown and Smith are arguably the best 1-2 WR tandem in the NFL, but they are surely among the elites. Jalen Hurts’ dual-threat abilities further make Philly a threat. He is in a groove after passing for 319 yards and four touchdowns with zero INTs in the Commanders game. The Eagles are 5-3-2 against the spread in their last 10 games, dating back to the 2022 campaign.
