The Cowboys showed no mercy to the New York Giants for the second time this season, with Dak Prescott and company crushing their NFC East division rivals on Sunday for a walk-in-the-park 49-17 victory at home. That’s a nice rebound for Dallas following a road loss to the Philadelphia Eagles a week before.
The Giants were never expected by many to upset the Cowboys, and that’s the expectation most people have of the Panthers for this upcoming contest in Week 11. Carolina’s offense has yet to figure things out with Bryce Young under center, with the rookie quarterback about to face one of the stingiest defenses in the league. On the season, the Cowboys are fifth in the NFL with 18.3 points per game.
Betting on the Carolina Panthers (+11)
Regular season record: 1-8
Carolina’s troubles continue. In the Panthers’ most recent outing, they lost to Tyler Bagent and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Week 10. That game occurred on a Thursday, though, so the Panthers will come into Week 11 with fresh legs, thanks to a “mini-bye.”
Young sounded so frustrated over how he and Carolina’s offense functioned against the Bears, with the QB passing for just 185 yards with zero touchdowns on 21/38 completions. Still, he made some promising throws, and if Tommy DeVito somehow found a way to throw for a couple of touchdowns in Week 10 versus Dallas’ defense, then there’s a good reason to believe that Young will have great moments in Week 11 against the same stop unit.
