The Dolphins had some light work in Week 6, as they blew by the Carolina Panthers in a 42-21 victory at home. Since losing to the Buffalo Bills in Week 4, the Dolphins had looked phenomenal again, scoring a total of 73 points while allowing just 37 points over a span of two games.
Miami’s offense is largely the reason for the success the team is having this year. The Dolphins are No. 1 in the league with 37.2 points per game and tops as well in total offense with 498.7 yards from scrimmage per contest. Philadelphia’s defense isn’t quite as reliable as before, while Jalen Hurts is seemingly having issues with his accuracy. The Dolphins could pounce anew in Week 7.
Betting on the Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5)
Regular season record: 5-1
The Eagles are looking to recover from an embarrassing 20-14 road loss to the New York Jets in Week 6. Hurts had a hard time navigating the Jets’ defense, as he threw three interceptions and went just 28/45 for 280 passing yards with a touchdown. However, he rushed eight times for 47 rushing yards and a TD.
The Eagles are waiting for Hurts to get it together consistently, and he can begin doing that this week against the Dolphins, who are just 26th in the league with 26.0 points allowed per game. Miami is also seemingly light against the run, surrendering close to 115 rushing yards per outing, 20th in the NFL.
