Betting on the New York Giants (+10)
Regular season record: 2-8
As expected by many, the Giants got devoured whole by the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10. With an unproven youngster making just his second career NFL start, the Giants suffered an embarrassing 49-17 loss at the hands of the Cowboys last Sunday. Tommy DeVito passed for only 86 yards with an interception on 14/27 completions versus Dallas, though, he still mustered two touchdown tosses.
That could be enough to give him some confidence heading into a matchup against what should be a lighter opponent in Washington — the last team the Giants defeated. New York beat the Commanders at home in Week 7 when Tyrod Taylor was the Giants’ QB starter. However, it was New York’s defense that did most of the heavy lifting there, with Washington being held to only 273 total yards and 1/15 on third downs. The Giants’ stop unit should be able to handle Washington’s attack much easier than it did the Cowboys’.
Betting on the Washington Commanders (-10)
Regular season record: 4-6
Washington had another setback this season, with the Commanders suffering a 29-26 road loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10. Despite the loss, the Commanders have reason to feel good about the team’s future. Sam Howell is proving to be a quarterback they can build around. He had 312 passing yards and zero interceptions on 29/44 completions against the Seahawks.
Howell is gaining more and more confidence and he could add more to that when he goes up against a Giants team that’s seemingly worse than the one the Commanders faced several weeks ago. On paper, the Commanders have the clear advantage in quarterback play against the Giants, who will continue to start DeVito. At the same time, NewYork’s attack could be easier to predict this time around for the Commanders’ defense, considering the great possibility that the Giants will turn to their rushing attack at a higher rate with an unproven QB under center.

The Commanders get their revenge, as they take advantage of a very shaky Giants squad. Howell passes for at least 250 yards and two touchdowns, too.
