It’s a new era in Green Bay, as for the first time in over 30 years, the Packers have named a regular starter who’s not Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers entering a season. This time, it will be Jordan Love, who will have the keys to the team’s offense from under center. Love has seen minimal action in his career thus far in the NFL, but he now has the most important role on the field for the Packers, who went 8-9 and missed the playoffs in the 2022 NFL campaign.
There are questions still about what Love can do, but there is less of it surrounding a reliable backfield tandem of running backs Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. Defensively, the Packers got a boost via the NFL Draft as they got defensive end Lukas Van Ness, who should be an immediate contributor to Green Bay’s offense that was just 15th in 2022 in defensive sack rate.

The Bears are coming off a rough 2022 season in which they finished last in the NFC North with just a 3-14 record. But it should be better this season with the team making a number of key moves over the course of the offseason.
For one, quarterback Justin Fields has a shiny new weapon in wide receiver DJ Moore, who should be able to deliver significant production downfield for a team that desperately needed a quality receiver after finishing last in the league in passing yards per game. Chicago’s offensive line is also due to be stouter and more effective with some additions to the unit like 10th-overall pick Darnell Wright. That is good news for Fields and the Bears’ rushing attack which averaged an NFL-best 177.3 yards per game in 2022.
