The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to put together their first winning streak of the season next Sunday when they take on one of their historic AFC North rivals: the Cincinnati Bengals.
Pittsburgh, at home, has a chance to sweep the series against Cincinnati this season and deal a major blow to its division rival’s hopes of catching the Ravens at the top of the group.
However, the commitment will not be easy for a team plagued by inconsistencies and that has not been able to consolidate its defense on the gridiron, the same one that was called to be its best weapon to face this campaign and that last weekend showed signs of what it can be in the 10-20 win over the Saints.
Although their ground defense ranks as the sixth-lowest yards per carry average in the league at 4.1, overall the Steelers allow opponents an average of 5.8 yards per play. They also allowed the second most touchdowns through the air with 18 and the fifth most net yards per pass with 6.9 .
This has made the games really tough for Pittsburgh, especially considering that they have one of the worst offenses in the league.
They are the second lowest scoring team with 140 points scored, tied with the Rams as the lowest scoring offense with 4.7 yards per play, are last in TDs through the air with six, last in net yards per pass with a 5.1 average, and totaled only 976 yards on the ground, the ninth-lowest total in the league.

If the Steelers can play defensively as they did against the Saints, they could be close to the goal Las Vegas has set for them in terms of wins on the season.
At home, Pittsburgh has two very difficult games against the Bengals and Ravens, but in week 16 they host the Raiders and close the regular round against the Browns. Two affordable teams considering the performance shown so far.
