The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to put together their first winning streak of the season next Sunday when they take on one of their historic AFC North rivals: the Cincinnati Bengals.
Pittsburgh, at home, has a chance to sweep the series against Cincinnati this season and deal a major blow to its division rival’s hopes of catching the Ravens at the top of the group.
However, the commitment will not be easy for a team plagued by inconsistencies and that has not been able to consolidate its defense on the gridiron, the same one that was called to be its best weapon to face this campaign and that last weekend showed signs of what it can be in the 10-20 win over the Saints.
Although their ground defense ranks as the sixth-lowest yards per carry average in the league at 4.1, overall the Steelers allow opponents an average of 5.8 yards per play. They also allowed the second most touchdowns through the air with 18 and the fifth most net yards per pass with 6.9 .
This has made the games really tough for Pittsburgh, especially considering that they have one of the worst offenses in the league.
They are the second lowest scoring team with 140 points scored, tied with the Rams as the lowest scoring offense with 4.7 yards per play, are last in TDs through the air with six, last in net yards per pass with a 5.1 average, and totaled only 976 yards on the ground, the ninth-lowest total in the league.
Predictions and Betting Preview for Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Week 11 2022
Moneyline (+165 from BetMGM)
The Steelers will not have an easy game in NFL Week 11 against Cincinnati. The Bengals try to give chase to the Ravens and want to forget the Week 1 loss to Pittsburgh at home.
In three of the last four games, the Bengals have scored more than 30 points and surpassed 450 total yards, thanks to an awakening of Joe Burrow and Joe Mixon.
In order for the Steelers to get a win, they must play great defense, just as they did on September 11 when they defeated their rivals in overtime, forcing them to lose up to five fumbles .
Spread (+4.0 from BetMGM)
The Pittsburgh team is strong at home and while they lost in three of their first four games at Acrisure Stadium, two of those defeats came by four points or less.
Apart from this, we can add that the Bengals are not playing very well against the spread lifetime against the Steelers as they are 10-22-1 in their last 33 games.
Over/Under (41 from BetMGM)
The Bengals have exploded offensively in recent weeks, but the Steelers are coming off allowing just 10 points to the Saints and in four home games only the Jets topped 20 touchdowns.
Let’s also remember that Pittsburgh’s offense is one of the worst in the league and that Cincinnati ranks 11th among defenses that have conceded the fewest points to their opponents with a total of 185.
In the last four meetings in Pittsburgh between these teams, the Under has a 3-0-1 record, while in the last nine meetings between the Bengals and Steelers, the Under has a 6-2-1 record.

Pittsburgh Steelers Future Bets
Over/Under wins for the season: Over 6.5 (+115 for DraftKings) / Under 6.5 (-141 for DraftKings)
If the Steelers can play defensively as they did against the Saints, they could be close to the goal Las Vegas has set for them in terms of wins on the season.
At home, Pittsburgh has two very difficult games against the Bengals and Ravens, but in week 16 they host the Raiders and close the regular round against the Browns. Two affordable teams considering the performance shown so far.
For their part, it seems difficult for them to win in Week 17 when they visit Baltimore, but they will also play on the road against the Colts, Falcons and Panthers, all teams with negative records.
Steelers win AFC North (+4000 from BetMGM)
On the bright side, the Steelers are three games out of the division lead and have two games left against the division-leading Ravens. In addition, they must face Bengals this weekend and the Browns to close out the year. The problem is that Pittsburgh does not have the offense to pull off such a difficult comeback .
Steelers win AFC Conference (+9900 from BetMGM)
On paper, the Steelers are just a game and a half out of the final wild-card spot. To pull off the heroics and sneak into a postseason berth at the last minute, winning the American Conference looks impossible considering the likes of the Chiefs, Bills, Dolphins and Ravens. All far superior to them.
Steelers win Super Bowl (+9900 from BetMGM)
If advancing to the postseason would be a feat and winning the AFC would be a miracle, getting a win in the Super Bowl looks truly unrealistic for the Steelers this season. That’s how they see it in Las Vegas and virtually the entire league when you consider the team’s problems in all areas of their game.
