Titans vs Buccaneers

Don’t be surprised if Will Levis gets another start in Week 9, regardless of how healthy Ryan Tannehill is. Levis has been impressive so far under center for Tennessee, which lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 9, 20-16.

Even though they lost, the Titans are rapidly becoming a believer in Levis – they aren’t already. Levis went 22/39 for 262 passing yards in the Steelers game. He had zero touchdowns and was intercepted once with four sacks absorbed, but he still showed great poise for a rookie playing in an atmosphere like that in Pittsburgh. He could shine anew versus the Buccaneers, who just allowed another rookie in CJ Stroud last Sunday to throw for nearly 500 yards.

Titans vs Buccaneers

The slide continues for the Buccaneers. Despite scoring 30 points for the first time this season, the Bucs suffered a 39-37 road loss to the Houston Texans in Week 9. Tampa Bay has now lost four games in a row and five in six outings. That being said, it is safe to say that Baker Mayfield is exceeding expectations as the starting quarterback of the Buccaneers.

Mayfield threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 21/30 completions versus the Texans. And while the Buccaneers are only 30th in the league with 78.3 rushing yards per game, they showed plenty of life on the ground in Week 9, especially from Rachaad White, who had 73 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.  The Buccaneers are 5-3 against the spread this season, so far.

El Jefe’s Prediction on Tennessee Titans vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mayfield is a gamer and he’s not going to let the Bucs lose to a team starting a rookie quarterback two weeks in a row. Taking the Bucs to win and cover.

Prediction:

The Bucs win, 24-19.
