Titans vs Vikings Predictions, Picks, Odds August 19 2023

With their two young quarterbacks sharing the duties under center, the Titans lost in Week 1 to the Chicago Bears on the road, 23-17. Malik Willis passed for 189 yards with an interception on 16/25 completions. Rookie Will Levis went 9/14 for 85 passing yards along with an interception.

Neither quarterback had a touchdown, they there could be plenty of opportunities for them to slice Minnesota’s seemingly faulty defense that allowed three touchdowns through the air in Week 1. Although he was not able to see anyone for a touchdown, Willis led a 75-yard scoring drive that ended in a TD  to start the Bears game. The Over is 6-4 in the Titans’ last 10 preseason games.

Like the Titans, the Vikings weren’t fortunate in Week 1 in their preseason assignment, as Minnesota suffered a 24-13 defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks on the road. Nick Mullens passed for 139 yards and a touchdown on 14/20 completions as the feature QB of Minnesota with Kirk Cousins sitting the game out.

Downfield, wide receiver Jalen Reagor looked fine, as he caught all balls thrown his way for 55 yards. That could be enough momentum for him to shine again in Week 2 against Tennessee, which got burned for a highlight big play in Week 1 by DJ Moore. The Under is 2-0 in the Vikings’ last two preseason games as the home team.

El Jefe’s Prediction on Tennessee Titans vs Minnesota Vikings

Still hard to trust the youngsters of the Titans under center, so I’m going with the Vikings here for a win and cover.

Prediction:

The Vikings win, 20-13.
