Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (+2.5)
Regular season record: 6-4
The Vikings just keep on finding ways to win. Despite not having Kirk Cousins (done for the season) and Justin Jefferson (injured reserve) over the last few weeks, the Vikings have managed to sustain their win streak that is now at five games after beating the New Orleans Saints at home this past Sunday, 27-19.
There’s a possibility that Jefferson returns this week, and if so, that will be a huge boost to Minnesota’s offense which is averaging 23.3 points per game. Running back Alex Mattison, meanwhile, might not be able to give it a go versus the Broncos due to concussion, but Ty Chandler appears to be a capable running back to handle the load if gets the call to start in Week 11.
Betting on the Denver Broncos (-2.5)
Regular season record: 4-5
The Broncos are gaining confidence. After going just 1-5 straight up in the first six weeks of the 2023 NFL regular season, Denver has won three games in a row. Last Sunday, the Broncos escaped Orchard Park with a 24-22 upset road win over Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
Just think about this: the last two wins of the Broncos were against the reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs (24-9) and the aforementioned Bills, who were among the preseason favorites to raise the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It’s probably high time to stop underestimating the Broncos, who are 4-5 against the spread in their last 10 games overall, dating back to the 2022 NFL campaign.
