The Vikings are suddenly on the right track. After beating the Chicago Bears in Week 6, 19-13, on the road, Kirk Cousins and the Vikings took down the San Francisco 49ers at home in Week 7 to the tune of a 22-17 score. That win over San Francisco says a lot about how dangerous Minnesota is becoming.
Even without the injured Justin Jefferson, Cousins is making things happen on offense. Jordan Addison has a lot to do with that. The tookie broke out in Week 7 with 123 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Even Minnesota’s defense is humming, as it has allowed just 30 points in its last two outings.
Betting on the Green Bay Packers (+1)
Regular season record: 2-4
Green Bay is on a free fall. After starting the season with two wins in three games, the Packers have lost three games in a row, including last Sunday’s 19-17 defeat at the hands of the Denver Broncos on the road. Jordan Love is still finding his footing as the starter for Green Bay, which is averaging 21.7 points and 289.8 total yards per game, 17th and 26th in the NFL, respectively.
The good thing about Love is that he appears to be behind a stout pass protection. Green Bay is fifth in the league with a 4.9 offensive sack rate. Also, don’t be surprised to see AJ Dillon and Aron Jones shine on the ground versus Minnesota. They are still a talented and scary running-back duo capable of erupting in any given game.
