Garoppolo immediately took command of the offense and guided his team to an important victory at home, adding the first win and giving them more confidence for next Sunday’s game. Jimmy-G completed 13 of 21 passes for 154 yards, scored one touchdown, and added another on the ground. San Francisco must trust him again, and the game against Denver will be an excellent opportunity for him to demonstrate his abilities.
The 49ers’ defense was also up to the task and the seven points the Seahawks scored came on a kickoff return after a blocked field goal. Seattle totaled just 216 total yards and lost the ball three times. Against the Broncos, who have failed to score more than 16 points in each of their games, it could be a good time to keep the momentum going.

Entering that quarter, they were down 9-6 and their 10 unanswered points sealed a pretty tough win against a Texans team that failed to score a touchdown.
It was Denver’s defense that kept the game alive after stopping David Mills and holding Houston to just 234 total yards, almost as many as Wilson threw for the game. The test will be a little stiffer this Sunday, again at home, with the presence of Garoppolo and the versatile Deebo Samuel.
