The UEFA Super Cup has a new owner and it’s Real Madrid. The Spanish team beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 with goals from David Alaba and Karim Benzema to become the Super Champion of European soccer.
The joy of the “Merengue” fans was evident not only at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki but also on social networks, as a handful of memes and other types of reactions appeared after this new title was won by Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

The “Merengues” are happy about the victory of their team in the UEFA Super Cup But they could not forget their arch-rivals, FC Barcelona, and the memes began to appear, reminding the “Culés” that they could not beat the German team in the Europa League.
For some, the Frankfurt defense was totally different with the two Spanish teams, as it was fearful against Madrid and very powerful against Barcelona.
Real Madrid’s social networks were very active, especially Twitter, and they quickly joined in the celebrations to make it clear that they are not only champions of Spain and Europe, but also bear the nickname of superchampions, after winning their fifth UEFA Super Cup.
Some decided to use videos of former Madrid coach Mourinho to show how happy they were with the title.
In addition to being champions, another reason for joy for the White fans was that for the first time the Frenchman Karim Benzema lifted a title as captain of the team.
A couple of images were also circulating of a “merengue” fan who did not forget about FC Barcelona and Kylian Mbappé who refused to join Real Madrid this summer.
And continuing with the mockery towards the Culé team, someone took it upon himself to make an image of how the Barcelona fans lived this Supercopa final, showing resentment for not being able to see their team in that match.
With this UEFA Super Cup, Real Madrid tied AC Milan and FC Barcelona as the top winners of the trophy.
