The NFL schedule for the 2022 season’s international commitments was unveiled Wednesday, and it included what will be the first-ever U.S. football league game in Germany.

According to what the NFL revealed on its social networks, the familiar Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who will serve as home team, will be joined by the Seattle Seahawks in a game to be played on November 13 at 9:30 a.m. ET at FC Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena.

After England, Germany is the European country with the largest NFL following, and many of its fans had had to make a long trip to London to watch the games in previous years. However, this time they will have their own football matchup between two of the most popular organizations in the country.

What are the other international games on the NFL 2022 schedule?

While the NFL schedule was increased to 17 games last season to accommodate international games, the league took advantage of this to increase outings outside the United States. This year, games hosted in London will increase from two to three.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host the New Orleans Saints against the Minnesota Vikings on October 2 andthe Green Bay Packers against the New York Giants on October 9. The Jacksonville Jaguars will play their ninth game on foreign soil when they take on the Denver Broncos at Wembley Stadium on October 30. Each and every one of them will be played at 9:30 am ET.

For its part, Mexico will also host another international game on the NFL schedule for the first time since 2019: this time, the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers were selected for the occasion. This will be both teams’ second game in Mexico, after facing each other in NFL’s first game in Mexico, during the 2005 season. This time, the match will take place at the Azteca Stadium on November 21, at 8:15 pm ET.

It is worth remembering that last February the league had announced the Packers, Cardinals, Saints, Buccaneers and Jaguars as the home teams for this series of international games on the NFL schedule.
