Dani Olmo, a player for Spain’s National Team, was robbed last Friday in one of the streets of downtown Valencia. The player was joined by his brother, who was hurt while attempting to stop the crime.
Those of us who live in Latin America complain about insecurity, and sometimes we believe that assaults, robberies or kidnappings are not something that happens in Europe. Unfortunately, there are thieves all over the world, and what happened with Dani Olmo proves it.
It was revealed that Dani Olmo, who plays for Leipzig in the Bundesliga, went to downtown Valencia to cut his hair at a hairdresser located on Vinatea Street, and he was the victim of a robbery around 9:00 p.m.
Two subjects waited for him when he left the premises and snatched his Rolex brand watch. The player was accompanied by his brother, who tried to prevent the thieves from escaping, but was injured in that attempt, although it is important to note that none of the injuries were serious.
The Spanish newspaper Las Provincias reported Dani Olmo’s watch is valued at 30 thousand euros, and it was the same source that revealed that the player’s brother was with him.
Dani Olmo’s Vacation Marked by Crime
The footballer was on vacation in Spain and intended to go about his normal life when he was confronted by criminals.
Four days ago, the player uploaded a photo to his Instagram account where the Rolex can be seen on his left wrist.
Olmo made the complaint officially, but so far it hasn’t been reported if the criminals could be found.
His time in Spain took place after having joined “la Roja” during the FIFA international matches in June.
He will soon have to return to Germany to start preparing for the start of the season with Leipzig, as his team’s first game in the Bundesliga will be on August 6 against Stuttgart.
During the 2021-22 season, the 24-year-old Spaniard played 30 games in all competitions (including the Bundesliga, Europa League, German Cup and Champions League) with Leipzig, recording three four goals and five assists.
