Alex Stergios Discusses the Upcoming Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix and How Red Bull Racing’s Performing
The Japanese Grand Prix 2022 will give place to lots of emotions as the Suzuka circuit returns to the Formula 1 calendar after being cancelled for several years due to the pandemic.
In episode six, Alex focuses on Checo Pérez, the Mexican driver who just won the Singapore Grand Prix, and talks about his possible penalty for the distance limit to the Safety Car, and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc’s attempt to overtake him.
Then, Alex focuses on Red Bull, specifically on Max Verstappen. As we mentioned at the beginning, this driver could be crowned Formula 1 champion for the second time this weekend. This is because he has a 104-point lead over Charles Leclerc and, in addition, must significantly surpass Checo to secure the championship. Thus, winning is Max Verstappen’s safest option.
The other alternative winning result is having a 112-point lead over the second-placed team in the championship. To do so, he has to win in Japan and get the fastest lap. Otherwise, Leclerc could only clinch the championship if Verstappen comes in second place this Sunday in the Japanese Grand Prix 2022.
