Having won three games in a row and improving their conference record to 11-2, the Bruins now turn their attention to Saturday’s meeting with Oregon. UCLA’s suffocating defense is a major weapon of Mick Cronin’s squad and a big threat to Oregon.
The Bruins are No. 3 overall in Division I basketball with just 88.4 points allowed per 100 possessions adjusted. UCLA is s good at messing with its opponents’ offensive flow, and it shows in the team’s high defensive steals rates, which are ranked no. 1 in the Pac-12 and 13th nationally.
