Miami got back in the win column in Week 11, as the Dolphins became the first team to give the Las Vegas Raiders a loss in the Antonio Piece era. The Fins’ defense stepped up big time in their 20-13 win over Las Vegas. The Dolphins intercepted Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell three times and held Las Vegas to only 4/14 on third downs.
The assignment seems to be easier in Week 12 for the Dolphins’ stop unit, with the struggling Jets squad waiting for Miami. New York arguably has the worst offense in the league. Conversely, the Dolphins are the top team in the NFL so far in terms of scoring offense. Miami is averaging 30.5 points per game and 434.0 total yards per contest — also the No. 1 mark in the league. On the season, Miami has covered the spread six times in 10 outings.

The Jets could be on the verge of making a significant quarterback decision ahead of Week 12. After suffering a 32-6 destruction at the hands of the Buffalo Bills in Week 11, New York head coach Robert Saleh did not immediately name a starter for the upcoming matchup versus the Dolphins.
Zach Wilson is clearly not getting the job done under center for the Jets, and he could soon be replaced as starter by Tim Boyle, who saw action in the Bills game. Boyle went just 7/14 for 33 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception but looked much better in the pocket than Wilson, who was sacked five times for a loss of 30 yards. Boyle was taken to the ground just once. As bad as it’s been of late for the Jets, they are still at a decent 4-5-1 against the spread this season overall.
